Physicochemical properties: reddish brown powder. It is an iron containing compound allosteric protein of vertebrate red blood cells. It is composed of heme and globin. Globin accounts for about 96% and heme accounts for 4%. It contains four polypeptide chains, and each polypeptide chain contains a heme group. Heme iron is divalent. When it is combined with oxygen, its chemical valence remains unchanged to form oxygenated hemoglobin. It is bright red with light blue after dissociation with oxygen
Purpose: biochemical research. The cell wall can be broken.
Storage: 2 ~ 8 ℃
