Physicochemical properties: light yellow to yellow crystalline powder. Melting point 181-182 ℃ (decomposition). Slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in water. It is stable in air, darkens in sunlight, and is easy to be destroyed in alkali solution.
Application: biochemical research, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic extracted from the culture medium of Streptomyces crassiformis. Its antibacterial spectrum, antibacterial effect and application are basically the same as tetracycline and chlortetracycline.
