Purpose: biochemical research. Gentamicin binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit to cause code reading errors and block the transfer of peptidyl tRNA from the recipient site to the donor site. The bactericidal effect of gentamicin on Pseudomonas depends on binding to the outer membrane of the cell membrane to replace the existing cations, making the membrane unstable and forming holes on the cell surface. Antibacterial spectrum: gram negative bacteria, Staphylococcus and other gram positive bacteria.
