Physicochemical Properties: yellow to orange crystalline powder. It has a slight special smell and tastes slightly bitter. There are three crystalline forms with different solubility in water. It is not affected by scattered light when dry, but it is easy to be affected and deteriorated by light in alkaline solution. It is stable to inorganic acids in the dark. It decomposes at 278 ~ 282 ℃ (the color darkens at about 240 ℃). 1g is soluble in 3000 ~ 15000ml of water, and the pH of saturated aqueous solution is about 6. The aqueous solution is yellow and shows green fluorescence. The solubility in absolute ethanol at 27.5 ℃ is 0.0045g/100ml. It is easily soluble in dilute alkali solution (decomposition), slightly soluble in cyclohexanol, amyl acetate, benzyl alcohol and phenol, and insoluble in ether, chloroform, acetone and benzene. The maximum absorption wavelength is 220 ~ 225, 226, 371, 444, 475nm. Slightly toxic, LD50 (rat, oral) >10g/kg
Purpose: biochemical research. Photocatalyst for acrylamide gel polymerization. Prepare tissue culture medium. Preparation of Leptospira culture medium in bacterial serum test
Save: RT, away from light
