Physicochemical properties : light orange to dark reddish brown monoclinic prism. Source of pig bile. Sensitive to light. The heating color gradually turns black without melting. Soluble in benzene, chloroform, chlorobenzene, carbon disulfide, acids and bases, slightly soluble in ethanol and ether, almost insoluble in water. The light green solution shows red fluorescence under ultraviolet light. It is stable when dry, chloroform solution is stable in the dark, and alkali solution is easy to oxidize.
Purpose: biochemical research. Analytical chemistry. Biochemical research. Synthetic bezoar. Antioxidants protect membrane phospholipids from oxidation by hydrogen peroxide free radicals. Even at nanomolar concentration, neurons can be protected from oxidative damage
Storage: 2 ~ 8 ℃, away from light
