Physicochemical Properties: Orange flake or dark red needle crystal. Sublimate in high vacuum. 1g dissolved in 13g of boiling glacial acetic acid. It is red in ethanol, brown and yellow in ether, and purple in alkali and ammonia. In case of carbon dioxide, black precipitation will be formed. Irritating.
