Physicochemical properties: colorless transparent crystal or powder. Hygroscopic. Decompose at 100 ~ 200 ℃. Soluble in 2.8 parts of water, 2 parts of water at 50 ℃, soluble in potassium carbonate solution, almost insoluble in ethanol. Boiling the aqueous solution will escape carbon dioxide and become potassium carbonate. The pH of 0.1mol/l aqueous solution is 8.2. The relative density is 2.17. The refractive index is 1.482.
