Physicochemical properties: colorless liquid. At 30 ℃, it is miscible with water, acetone and toluene, and partially miscible with octane, olefin and cycloalkane. The melting point is 27.4 ~ 27.8 ℃. The boiling point is 285 ℃. Flash point (open cup) 176 ℃. The viscosity is 10.34mpa · s. Low toxicity, LD50 (rat, oral) 1540mg / kg
Purpose: biochemical research. The lower hydrocarbon isomers were separated and analyzed by gas chromatography fixed liquid (maximum use temperature 100 ℃, solvent acetone). It is used as a selective solvent for gas-liquid extraction, extracting aromatic hydrocarbons from aliphatic hydrocarbons, and removing acid gases from gas mixtures.
