Physicochemical properties: White powder.Insoluble in ethanol, very stable in neutral solution, hydrolyzed in strong acid and elevated temperature, and the end group is oxidized in alkaline solution. It is easily soluble in water, tasteless and odorless. Its solution can be sterilized by hot pressing at 10 ~ 115 ℃ for 30-45 minutes.Glucans are present in mucus secreted by certain microorganisms during their growth.
Purpose: Biochemical research. The cross-linked dextran anion exchanger is prepared by connecting diethylaminoethyl ion exchange group to cross-linked glucose. The dissociated group in the solution is-OCH2CH2N(C2H5) 2.Ion exchange cross-linked glucan has a high charge density, so it has a larger total exchange capacity than ion exchange cellulose. Because of its three-dimensional network structure, cross-linked glucan has both ion exchange and molecular sieve functions,However, when the PH or ionic strength of the eluent is changed, the gel volume will be greatly changed, so that the gel will break, or the gel will cause a great change in the volume of the solute due to the shrinkage of the gel, or the solute will be trapped in the mesh due to the shrinkage of the gel. Therefore, appropriate ionic strength should be selected for elution.
