Physicochemical properties: white, light yellow or slightly blue powder or granule. It melts into dark yellow liquid at 795 ℃ and forms yellowish white crystals when it condenses. Sublimate at higher temperature. At 28 ℃, 1L water can dissolve 0.49g. It is soluble in concentrated mineral acid, alkali hydroxide solution, ammonia water and potassium hydrogen tartrate solution, and is very slightly soluble in acids after strong burning. The relative density (d264) is 4.696. Melting point 795 ℃. Boiling point 1155 ℃. Moderate toxicity, median lethal dose (rat, oral) 125mg/kg. Irritating.
Purpose: biochemical research. Blood glucose, protein, phenol, arsenic, lead, bismuth, etc. were measured by colorimetry. Alkaloid test. Petroleum industry catalyst.
