Physicochemical properties  (the following information is for reference only): white or yellow powder, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, hot and easy to absorb moisture. Dissolve in water to form colloidal solution, which is stable to light and heat. Insoluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and other organic solvents. Its aqueous solution has good viscosity, stability, colloidal protection and film-forming property, is not easy to decay and mold, is stable under the conditions of great alkalinity and weak acidity, and will produce precipitation under the conditions of strong acidity. The aqueous solution is relatively stable in alkali and poor in acid, forming free acid insoluble in water and reducing viscosity. If the aqueous solution is heated above 80 ℃ for a long time, the viscosity will decrease.
