Physicochemical properties (the following information is for reference only): white or yellow to yellowish brown powder, granular or flake. Corn protein. The density is about 1.226. It can be dissolved in 90% ethanol, propanol, acetic acid, phenol, etc., and also in 1.4% caustic sodium or 1.97% caustic potassium aqueous solution. It is insoluble in water, but can absorb 2% ~ 10% of water. When it is not dried or left in the solvent for a long time, it is denatured and hardly soluble in the above solvent. In the dry state, it does not decompose under 135 ℃
