Item No.: P0057-1
Store at: 2~8℃
Other names: mucin II; Mucin III; Gastrotensin
CAS No.: 84082-64-4
Grade: br
Bound sialic acid:0.5~1.5%
Physicochemical Properties: white to light yellow or yellowish brown powder. The sugar chain of mucin accounts for more than 50% of the total molecular weight, sometimes up to 80%. Monosaccharides are bound to the side chains of nuclear proteins by O-glycosidic bonds and covalently bound to each other to form huge molecules with a molecular weight of millions. The molecule contains a large amount of water, forming a colloid and covering the mucosal surface.
Purpose: biochemical research. Mucin is the main component produced by epithelial cells and plays a role in protecting and lubricating cells.
Storage: 2 ~ 8 ° C
