Physicochemical properties: Liquid, a non-specific, subtilisin related serine protease, derived from Candida albicans (tritirachium album), with high specific activity. Chelating agents such as EDTA or detergents such as SDS can not inactivate protease K, but enhance and stabilize enzyme activity, and have activity in a wide pH range (ph4-12.5). In the separation of nucleic acids from tissues or cells, nucleases (RNA and DNA) and other enzymes in the reaction are inactivated.
Purpose: Biochemical research. Broad spectrum protease, heated at 95C for 10 minutes, was completely inactivated. It can replace the centrifugal tube and gun head used for RNA extraction by DEPC to inactivate RNase A. It can also be used to treat RNase free water. It is an auxiliary reagent for fully degrading protein molecules, especially nucleic acids, in tissues or cells to release and extract high-quality nucleic acids. It is used for the separation of plasmid or genomic DNA and RNA and protein polypeptide imprinting experiments.
