Physicochemical Properties: orange yellow powder. The solubility at 21 ℃ is: 11.8% water, 9% 10% ethanol, 3% 50% ethanol, soluble in glycerol, propylene glycol, insoluble in oil. It is an azo acid dye with good heat resistance, acid resistance, light resistance and salt resistance. It is very stable in citric acid, tartaric acid and other solutions. Poor oxidation resistance, slightly red in case of alkali, and discolored during reduction. Melting point: 300 ℃.
Purpose: biochemical research. For biological dyeing. Adsorption indicators for precipitation titration, such as chlorine and iodine ions for silver salt titration, are also used as redox indicators. Manufacture yellow filters for photographic lenses.
