Physicochemical properties : there are two isomers, keto and enol. Enol type is light yellow or yellow cubic crystal or powder. For a long time, the enol structure is partially transformed into a white crystalline ketone structure. In polar solvents, it will gradually turn into ketone form. Soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, ether, chloroform and benzene, it can form salt and dissolve in alkaline solution, but insoluble in water or acidic solution. Melting point (enol type) 86 ~ 88 ℃ (92 ℃), (ketone type) 122 ℃.
Purpose: biochemical research. It is used as extraction chelating agent in analytical chemistry and radiochemistry, and for the determination of the total amount of trace rare earth elements in iron and steel and non-ferrous metals. Extract and separate uranium, plutonium, americium, NEPTUNIUM, thorium and other metals. Determine nitric acid, nitrite and iodine.
