Molecular weight: 43 kDa
Grade: br
Content: ≥ 85% (SDS-PAGE)
Protein content: ≥ 80% (biuret)
Physicochemical Properties: white or off white powder. It is commonly found in the nuclei of all kinds of cells. A kind of muscle structural protein, the main component of myofibril filaments. It is composed of a polypeptide chain. The molecular configuration is spherical and directional, which is generally called globular actin (G-actin); When the ionic strength of the solution is increased, in the presence of mg2+, many (300 ~ 400) G-actin polymerize long chains in the same fore-and-aft direction, which are called fibrous actin (F-actin). In myofibril filaments, two F-actin chains are coiled around each other to form a double helix
Purpose: biochemical research. Actin, actin binding protein and actin related protein are involved in the regulation of actin form and function in the nucleus, including many important physiological functions, such as the conversion of actin monomer and polymerization form, chromatin structure adjustment, gene transcription regulation, mRNA processing and transportation.
