Physicochemical Properties: dark red crystal, metallic luster. There are also yellow brown pieces with dark green metal. It is easily soluble in ethanol in golden yellow solution, soluble in sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide in water or ethanol solution in carmine, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid, 70% sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid or perchloric acid in yellow to orange, slightly soluble in glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in ether and chloroform, almost insoluble in water (0.12%) and benzene. It will not volatilize when heated to 180 ℃ in vacuum. The maximum absorption wavelength (potassium hydroxide solution) is 534.6, 479.5nm. Irritating. Melting point 308-310 ℃ (simultaneous decomposition)
