 Physicochemical Properties: dark red crystalline powder. Soluble in water. It is red in neutral and acidic solutions, purple in alkaline solutions, and changes from red to purple in weak acid solutions when reacting with a series of elements, only light blue when reacting with hexavalent uranium. The maximum absorption wavelength of the complex formed with uranium (ⅵ) is 605nm. The molar absorption coefficient is 2.31 × 105. The absorbance of the solution can remain unchanged in the range of pH 5.2 ~ 8.0.
