Purpose: biochemical research. Peroxidase and hepatitis B antigen. It is a new safe chromogen reagent. Compared with the traditional chromogen reagents such as benzidine, o-toluidine and o-phenylenediamine, TMB has the advantages of high sensitivity, good stability and safe use. The results of animal test and Ames automatic bacterial variability test showed that TMB was a non carcinogen and non mutagen. At present, TMB has gradually replaced benzidine, a strong carcinogen, and other carcinogenic benzidine derivatives, and has been applied in clinical testing, forensic testing, criminal detection, environmental monitoring and other fields. Especially in clinical biochemical tests, TMB, as a new substrate of peroxidase, has been widely used in enzyme immunoassay (EIA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
