Physicochemical properties: dark brown powder. No smell. The agglomerates are softened at 175 ℃, melted and decomposed at 181-188 ℃, and completely decomposed at 260 ℃. 1g is soluble in 15ml chloroform, easily soluble in benzene, soluble in oil, fat, paraffin oil, phenol, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, almost insoluble in water. It is a slightly purplish red solution in alcohol or benzene. When the alcohol solution meets with sodium hydroxide, it will turn red purple, and when sulfuric acid is blue-green. When diluted, it will form a red precipitate
Purpose: biochemical research. Oil and fat staining, Sudan Ⅳ can be replaced by oil red O to make high temperature thermometer color
Saving: RT
